Justin Fields showing improved mechanics

Fantasy Impact: There was lots of doubt surrounding Fields coming out of the 2021 NFL Draft. His true completion percentage of 62.8 percent last season ranked No. 33 per PlayerProfiler. It will be interesting to see how Luke Getsy’s system changes this offense that still doesn’t look great on paper. While there certainly are some intriguing pieces in the Bears offense, the majority of Fields fantasy production will likely still come in the running game.

CeeDee Lamb (hamstring) expected to be ready for training camp

Fantasy Impact: Lamb is expected to return after missing Cowboys minicamp, so it sounds like the injury was never too serious. Dallas has talked about potentially using him more like Deebo Samuel in the run game. He’ll certainly have the opportunity to see a lot more targets this season with the departure of Amari Cooper.

Skyy Moore expected to be at full speed by training camp

Skyy Moore is still getting up to full speed at minicamp after an offseason injury, but he is expected to be fully ready for training camp. (Source: U.S. News)

Fantasy Impact: Moore suffered a hamstring injury prior to rookie minicamp. He is starting to get back to full speed at the Chiefs minicamp this month and should be fully healthy for training camp next month. While Travis Kelce will likely remain the technical WR1 for Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs wide receiver core is wide open this year. The rookie is in a position to potentially make an immediate impact if he can stay healthy.

Robert Tonyan (knee) not participating in minicamp

Fantasy Impact: Tonyan continues to work his way back from a knee injury after tearing his ACL last season. Packers GM Brian Gutekunst said Tonyan is “ahead of schedule” in his recovery from him back in March. It is possible he lands on the PUP list in training camp depending on if he can take the field or not. There is a lot of opportunity opened up in the Packers wide receiver core this season with the departures of Davante Adams and Marquez Valdes-Scantling. Tonyan has the rapport locked in with Aaron Rodgers, but he’ll need to see more targets to not be as touchdown dependent from a fantasy football perspective.
